HEALTHBACK HOME HEALTH HOSTS FIRST ANNUAL HEART AWARENESS EVENT
Heart disease kills an estimated 630,000 Americans each year. It is the leading cause of death among both men and women. Due to the increase in heart disease in America, February has been deemed Heart Awareness Month. To prevent heart disease and increase awareness of its affects, HealthBack Home Health is proudly participating in American Heart Month.
On February 14th, please join HealthBack Home Health for a free heart healthy event. We will have nurses on staff taking blood pressures and blood sugars, as well as providing information to the public about the effects of heart disease and ways to prevent the disease from attacking you or your loved one. The event is located at the HealthBack Home Health of Chickasha office at 420 S. 22nd Street and will be open to the public from 10 am to 3 pm. Refreshments will be provided as well. VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR AWARD
The volunteer of the Year is an annual program sponsored by the Chickasha
Chamber of Commerce. This award recognizes an individual (or couple) who has demonstrated unselfish exemplary service as a volunteer in the Chickasha community. Previous honorees have been chosen because they exhibited the qualities of service and leadership that can serve as an example to others.
Anyone may nominate a person for consideration of this honor. However, you may only nominate one person. Chamber involvement is not necessarily a consideration for selection, but encouraged. We request that nominations be made without the nominee’s knowledge so that it can be a surprise when presented. The award will be announced at the 89th Annual Chamber Banquet scheduled for March 9, 2012.
