• High School diploma or GED required. • Must have Accounting Experience. • Must have basic Computer Experience. • Prefer non-profit accounting experience. • Ability to be in compliance with appropriate background check(s) and drug testing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Collect time sheets, calculate payroll and distributes pay vouchers, generate and file Agency state and federal tax reports. • Serve as backup for payroll as needed. • Prepare and process payment vouchers by coding accurately according to grants budgets. • Review invoices and match with purchase orders and receiving tickets. • Prepare checks for vendor payments and travel reimbursements with supporting documentation. • Generate, audit and file accounts payable reports and supporting documentation. • Keep the Executive Director updated on grant expenditures. • Maintain payroll personnel files. • Maintain annual leave, sick leave and public school leave. • Receive cash from Transit, count all monies, and prepare deposit to be taken to the bank. • Take HS deposits to the bank for HS Financial Assistant. • Establish and maintain files as requested. • Participate in annual audit process and all site monitoring visits. • Submit and maintain employee/employer 403(b) Thrift Plan contributions. • Submit monthly, quarterly and annual reports required by individual funding entities. • Maintain agency insurance renewal and payments for workers comp, liability, D&O, cafeteria plan, etc. • Maintain all funding contract files and audit results. • Perform all other duties as assigned.
